the gift of great mentors
Farming is one of those professions you don't have to go to school for. You might learn it better out in the field, and at the market, and in the barn. I've been growing food for ten years, but this leap from gardener to farmer is a big one.
Yesterday I had yet another great morning with Dick & Diana Dyer of Dyer Family Organic Farm. They have hugged me, shared stories, and given great advice. And what's more-- they've offered me their land to farm for the 2017-2018 season!
I'm pumped.
This is how dream is unfolding, and I'm very excited to spend this year under Dick & Diana's mentorship as I learn the scaling, marketing, distribution, and small business owning side of farming.
This couple gives so much love and help to our local food community
